- Q1. Section 3.0 calls for ISO 9001-2008 and AS9100 certification. In Section 4.0, the Quality System does not call for ISO 9001 certification, but calls for a system which demonstrates a systems approach for managing quality, safety and Contractors compliance with all contractual requirements. Is ISO 9001 certification required or would a quality standard that is ISO 9001 compliant and which meets requirements laid out in Section 4.0 be sufficient? A1. ISO 9001-2008 and AS9100 certifications are desired but not required. Section 4 Quality Systems should be ISO 9001 compliant. Q2. Attachment 1 identifies aircraft the contractor shall maintain. Is there a complete list available that provides what type of UAV, quantities of U-12/RC-12, and specific model types for each aircraft listed? A2. The list is in attachment 1. We are an R&D organization; we can have different types of UAVs, C-12 and RC-12 and in our control at any one time. The aircraft maintenance will be conducted on these and on similar types of platforms. Q3. Section 4.1 states that the contractor shall provide a quality system in accordance with 14 CFR 121/145. Does the contractor have to be 14 CFR 121 certified or 14 CFR 91? A3. 14 CFR 121/145 is not required, but desirable. Q4. Will the contractor be required to have 14 CFR 145 repair station capabilities at locations other than the contractor's facilities? A4. No, but the expertise is desirable if it needs to be utilized based on our requirements.
