- NAICS/Size: 332999/500 Employees See Synopsis TS2261237- Ventilated Storage Cabinets attached. This procurement is for the following items: 1) (2 ea) Ventilated Storage Cabinets, model: 9AV44NYN with the following components, 4 door, 4 shelves with variable day/night cycle, 4 doors (red transparent), negative pressure. Responses must meet all of the specifications listed on attachment. Any questions regarding this announcement, please contact Tanya Shields via email shields3@niehs.nih.gov. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Tecniplast USA, Inc., Exton, PA 19341, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the following items: 1) (2 ea) Ventilated Storage Cabinets, model: 9AV44NYN with the following components, 4 door, 4 shelves with variable day/night cycle, 4 doors (red transparent), negative pressure. The Ventilated Cabinet is need for the animal facility, it will be for animals that will be treated with or exposed to toxic and carcinogenic drugs and chemicals. It will also be exposed to corrosive cleaning materials. The Ventilated Storage Cabinets has to meet the following specification: See attachment. Tecniplast USA, Inc., is the manufacturer and sole distributor of these products which are currently in use throughout the animal facility. Tecniplast cabinets are made specifically to provide a sealed micro environment and are designed to fit the intake and exhaust ports on the Tecniplast ventilated storage cabinet. Failure to maintain the Tecniplast cabinet with the proper seal will result in loss of air supply, a break in micro environment and subsequently a loss of research animals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Purchasing Agent at the address stated above. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 8 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 8 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Tecniplast USA, Inc. The NAICS Code/Size is 332999/500. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $150,000.
