- Solicitation Number: W91ZLK-11-T-0446 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure preventative maintenance for CONTEX 240 Software currently owned by the Federal Government from Compunetix, Inc. (Cage Code: 8C319), in support of Aberdeen Test Center (ATC), located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005. CLIN0001 The Contractor shall provide the following service: Preventative Maintenance: CONTEX 240 On-site Field Service Support The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) sole source purchase order to Compunetix, Inc. located at 2420 Mosside Blvd STE 1, Monroeville, PA 15146-4236. ATC currently obtain Compunetix, Inc. (CONTEX 240) as their Conference Audio Bridge. Preventative maintenance and updating of the current software is required. Compunetix is an approved vendor for the Army's requirement Joint Interoperability Test Certified (JITC) regulation for the required product CONTEX 240. Furthermore, Compunetix owns the proprietary data rights to the existing Government owned software. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811211 and the Business Size Standard is $7 Million. All responses received within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 4:00 PM EST, September 16th 2011. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
