- The purpose of this announcement is to solicit the industry comments on the NVS DRAFT Screening Information Request (SIR). The FAA requests written responses must be provided electronically to Kathy St. Hill at Kathy.StHill@faa.gov no later than 10:00 AM EST on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Industry should use the attached template when preparing their responses. All files must be submitted in Microsoft Word format. Attachments included in this announcement are: (1)Section B (2)Section B - attachment a(3)Section B - attachment b(4)Section B - attachment c(5)Section C(6)Section H(7)Section L(8)Section M(9)List of J Attachments(10)Strategic Plan (attachment J-0)(11)NextGen Correlation Matrix (attachment J-2)(12)Logistics Strategy Document (attachment J-7)(13)List of Questions for Vendors Feedback is requested on the specific questions posed in this RFI (which are included as a separate attachment) as well as regarding the additional DRAFT documents. In addition to the elements of the SIR that are attached to this announcement, the FAA anticipates releasing an updated Draft NVS Technical Specification and related Draft Interface Requirements Documents. A Draft Attachment L-2 that outlines the requirements for a Capability Assessment will be released after comments are due. As a note to vendors, the 5 year base period in Section B.1.1 is still under Government analysis.
