- The Department of Education, Federal Student Aid, Program Compliance, intends to solicit on a sole source basis. This procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 12, Commerical Items. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. StoragePoint software is manufactured by Metalogix Software US, Inc. The Department intends to award to MicroTech for the StoragePoint Software Licenses including maintenance support. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified points of contact not later than September 15, 2011, 3:00 p.m. EST. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely to determin whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Department. This notice is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Oral communications are not acceptable to this notice. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Department to JD Cutlip@ed.gov with "StoragePoint Software" referenced in the subject line.
