- NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1), with the City of Monterey; 580 Pacific Street, Monterey, CA 93943-2885, based on the vendor being the only one with the ability to provide the local and wide area bandwidth required. The unique telecommunications infrastructure and bandwidth are only available through the Monterey I-net consortium. Place of performance is the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA 93943. The Government has a need for high speed fiber optic connections to other various entities, both local and wide. The applicable NAICS code is 443120. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No formal solicitation package is available. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in responding to this notice; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements and past performance data no later than 4:00pm Pacific Standard Time on 22 September 2011. All interested parties must demonstrate their ability to provide the necessary bandwidth and network capabilites. All documents should be submitted to Alan M. Gonzales, Contract Specialist, via email at alan.gonzales@navy.mil. Anything submitted by phone or fax will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open basis is solely within the discretion of the Government.
