Description

The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Maritime Norfolk, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Office, intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract to procure an abrasive cutter for use by the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 33512 and the procurement will be unrestricted. The contract line items are as follows: Item 0001 CUT-OFF SAW/MANUAL ABRASIVE CUTTER: MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS: 1) MOTOR GREATER THAN 5 HORSEPOWER 2) 3 PHASE 220V UNIT 3) MOTOR WITH ELECTRIC BRAKE TO STOP BLADE ROTATION FOR SAFETY 4) CUTTING CHAMBER ALLOWS USE OF 12-INCH OR GREATER ABRASIVE DISKS AND CAPABLE OF CUTTING PIECES 5-INCHES IN DIAMETER 5) SIDE ACCESS FOR CUTTING SAMPLES TOO LONG TO FIT INSIDE THE CUTTING CHAMBER 6) ENCLOSED CUTTING AREA WITH A VIEWING WINDOW AND LIGHTING 7) SAFETY SHUT-OFF SYSTEM THAT RENDERS THE SAW INCAPABLE OF RUNNING WHILE OPEN 8) RECIRCULATION COOLING SYSTEM WITH HOSES, PUMPS, AND RESERVOIRS. 9) ADJUSTABLE VISE SYSTEM WHICH ALLOWS VARIATION IN CLAMPING POSITIONS FOR SPECIALIZED CUTS. 10) FLOOR CABINET WITH CASTERS.
