- The Department of Veterans Affairs - Veterans Healthcare Administration - VISN 17 Network Contracting Activity located at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care intends to enter into a sole source commercial services contract with Lifewatch Services Inc. for Ambulatory Cardiac Telemetry supplies and services. Lifewatch Services Inc. will provide the LifeStar ACT service and device including all supplemental equipment (i.e. Batteries, electrodes, and instructions) to the Veteran Patients prescribed ambulatory cardiac telemetry by their healthcare clinician at the Dallas VA Medical Center. This contract is made on behalf of the North Texas Veterans Health Care System - Dallas VA Medical Center. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1 the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and/or obtained at www.farnet.gov. The government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies/services that will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any qualified vendor that determines it can meet the government's requirements may give written notification through e-mail to the Contracting Officer, Jennifer.Salerno-Diciuccio@va.gov. by September 23, 2011, 4:30 PM CST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to the comply with requirements at no cost or obligation to the government, however the information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received, the VISN 17 Network Contracting Activity on behalf of the North Texas Veterans Health Care System, Dallas, Texas will proceed to sole source this requirement to Lifewatch Services, Inc.
