Description
This amendment is issued to add CLIN 2001, to set a Site Visit date, and to extend proposal due date to 06 October 2011 at 3:00PM MST. Questions previously received from offerors will be answered in an amendment that will be issued on Tuesday 13 September 2011. CLIN 2001 is listed as follow: Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 2001, Quantity: 12, Unit of Issue: Month, Description: Second Option Year - Operation, Maintenance and Repair Plant. SITE VISIT A site visit will be conducted by the Contracting Officer at the US Army Yuma Proving Ground, Building 400 on 20 September 2011 at 07:30 AM MST. Each company is restricted to 3 attendees. Advise Curtis Arthur, the Contract Specialist, at email curtis.arthur@us.army.mil if you plan to attend the site visit. Failure to visit the job site will not disqualify an offer; however, the offeror acts at his own risk and will not be relieved from complying with the terms and conditions of any resultant contract by reason of such failure. In no event will a failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after award of the contract. In order to be allowed entrance onto US Army Yuma Proving Ground, offerors will need to submit a Visit Request Letter as follows: Visit Request Letter: Each company shall provide on their letter head, signed by a company official the following information for each attendee: full name, SSN, date of birth, place of birth, citizenship, naturalization number, and date of the site visit. FAX to: MICC Center - Yuma, Attention: Curtis Arthur at (928)328-6849 or email the letter as an attachment to curtis.arthur@us.army.mil by no later than 12:00 PM MST on Friday 16 September 2011. Photographs are not permitted. There will be no cameras or cell phones with cameras allowed during the site visit. Offerors should review The Economic Espionage Act of 1996 (http://www.law.uconn.edu/homes/swilf/ip/statutes/espionage.htm) and the Uniform Trade Secrets Act (http://www.law.upenn.edu/bll/archives/ulc/fnact99/1980s/utsa85.htm) prior to attending the site visit. Offerors are requested to review Solicitation W905MW1191WP01 and submit only written questions to Curtis Arthur at email Curtis.Arthur@us.army.mil or FAX 928-328-6849 by 12:00 PM MST on Thursday 22 September 2011. Questions and Answers: Questions raised during the site visit and questions about the solicitation will be answered through an amendment to the solicitation to be issued no later than 28 September 2011. Offerors must submit any final questions within 2 working days of the visit. All attendees must possess a valid photo ID or photo driver's license. All drivers must provide a valid photo driver's license, current vehicle registration, and current proof of vehicle insurance. Driving Directions to Yuma Proving Ground from Yuma International Airport Proceed straight from parking lot onto Pacific Ave. Turn RIGHT onto 16th St./US-95. Proceed approx 20 miles. Turn LEFT at the big guns onto Laguna Dam Rd. Proceed approximately 5 to 6 miles (past Walker Gate) Turn right at the Main Post gate. Once through the gate turn RIGHT onto 3rd Street/C Street Follow C Street to First Street and turn RIGHT onto First Street Turn LEFT on D Street Building 400 will be straight ahead Driving Directions to Yuma Proving Ground from Phoenix Begin on I-10 W towards LOS ANGELES. Merge onto AZ-85 S via EXIT 112 toward I-8 / YUMA / SAN DIEGO. Stay STRAIGHT to go onto W PIMA ST / I-8 BL. Merge onto I-8 W toward SAN DIEGO. Take the FORTUNA RD exit. Take the ramp toward US-95. Turn RIGHT onto US-95. Proceed approx. 14 miles. Turn LEFT at the big guns onto Laguna Dam Rd. Proceed approximately 5 to 6 miles (past Walker Gate) Turn right at the Main Post gate. Once through the gate turn RIGHT onto 3rd Street/C Street Follow C Street to First Street and turn RIGHT onto First Street Turn LEFT on D Street Building 400 will be straight ahead Driving Directions to Yuma Proving Ground from San Diego Start off on I-8 E (Crossing into ARIZONA). Take the 16TH ST / US-95 exit- EXIT 2- toward SAN LUIS. Turn LEFT onto US-95 E / E 16TH ST. Continue to follow US-95 E approx. 21 miles. Turn LEFT at the big guns onto Laguna Dam Rd. Proceed approximately 5 to 6 miles (past Walker Gate) Turn right at the Main Post gate. Once through the gate turn RIGHT onto 3rd Street/C Street Follow C Street to First Street and turn RIGHT onto First Street Turn LEFT on D Street Building 400 will be straight ahead A final amendment will be issued on 28 September to answer any questions that may arise after the Site Visit. All proposals are due by 06 October 2011 at 3:00PM MST.
