Description
The government intends to issue a solicitation SPM1C1-11-Q- 0698 for the manufacture and delivery of the Shoulder Cord, Infantry (8455-00-261-6612): Quantity: 30,000. This item is manufactured in accordance with MIL-S-11874. Production Lead Time is 150 days. Destination for this item is Arizona Industries for the Blind; Phoenix, AZ. Automated Best Value Score (ABVS) will be used. The ABVS carries more weight in the award evaluation process than price. The solicitation will be issued as a total small business set-aside that will result in a firm fixed price contract. All items must be 100% U.S. Made out of 100% U.S. Materials. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/. From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFQs' from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. You must be registered in order to electronically quote. The anticipated solicitation will post 7 days from the date of synopsis. Important note on foreign content: The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment) impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and specialty metals (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
