- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notices of their intent to award a purchase order to Heatcon Composite Systems, Inc., 600 Andover Park East, Seattle, WA 98188-7610, (Cage Code: 0ED96) on sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Market research has reveal this contractor manufactures the required specialty heater blankets and electronic bonding kits necessary to perform required depot level maintenance on the V-22 Proprotor Blades. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC intends to procure: two (2) each, Dual Zone Bonder Sales Kit with Accessories, part number HCS9200B, four (4) each, Heat Blanket Textron/bell Nickel Cap 901 Blade 8 x 64 220V 5 ™ Leads Per DRWG, part number HC-TBD, and one (1) each, Engineering Tooling as required to fulfill the Government ™s requirement for the V-22 Aircraft. These parts are direct replacement parts and are only available from Heatcon Composite Systems, Inc. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement of submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
