- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice for Information Technology Application and Infrastructure Support for the U.S. Department of Commerce. This requirement will be issued as a 100% set-aside for 8(a) firms. Services to be provided will include: (a) Network and Communications administration for the CSC connectivity to the DOC Wide Area Network (WAN) and the CSC Internet connection including VPN services (b) Capacity planning to determine future hardware/software requirements (c) Windows Desktop support activities including personal productivity software (d) Support and maintenance of Windows laptops including personal productivity software and full disk encryption using McAfee SafeBoot (e) Windows Server Support activities for local functions and in support of Continuity of Operations (COOP) activities (f) Administration of AVAYA Telephone system (g) RIM Blackberry device administration (h) Systems Change and Configuration Management activities (i) Patch Management (j) Systems documentation (k) Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing activities (l) CSC COOP planning, testing and execution (m) Wireless and other services for DOC COOP activities (n) Internal Systems vulnerability testing and audit (o) Provide assistance for Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities including Systems Test and Evaluation (ST&E) The Department of Commerce intends to issue the solicitation (SA1301-11-RP-0012) as a commercial acquisition. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about September 26, 2011. The solicitation will include information regarding the proposal submittal date and address. The Government contemplates awarding a labor hour contract, consisting of a base period beginning from date of award through one year with four one-year option periods. The Department anticipates awarding a contract on or about December 15, 2011.
