Description
This publication serves as notice of intent to award a purchase order to Picarro, Inc. (TNC) for a G2103 Trace Ammonia for Ambient Air Analyzer for the Atmospheric Turbulence and Diffusion Division (ATDD) in Oak Ridge, TN. The Atmospheric Turbulence and Diffusion Division of NOAA's Air Resources Laboratory conducts a focused variety of intensive field campaigns related to air quality. In the atmosphere, ammonia (NH3) is the most abundant alkaline trace gas, and contributes to the degradation of regional air quality and affects environmental health. The ammonia cycle is complex, as it is emitted from a variety of natural and anthropogenic sources, reacts readily with other atmospheric gases forming fine particulates, then returns to the biosphere through the atmospheric deposition process. In an effort to better understand the complexities of the ammonia cycle, ATDD requires a variety of resources and technologies specific to ammonia detection and measurement. The Picarro G2103 Cavity Ringdown Spectroscopy (CRDS) system meets these criteria. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive responses. However, all responses received within three days after date of publication of this notice may be considered by the government. Responses can be faxed to Sharon Walker at (816) 274-6983 or sent via email to shaorn.walker@noaa.gov. A determination by the government not to compete the acquisitions based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. DOC, Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City Office requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). No award can be made to a company not registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov.
