Description
This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to enter into a sole source contract with MEDRAD Inc, 100 Global View Dr. Warrendale, PA 15086, for a service and maintenance agreement for the AngioJet Ultra Thrombectomy Blood Restorer System. MEDRAD will provide this service to the Western New York VA Medical Center. This agreement will be for a twelve month period. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219. This procurement involves licensed, proprietary software, software upgrades and proprietary passwords. Any interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide service, maintenance and software upgrades. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. local time. Information should be sent to David Esmay, Contracting Officer, at Davidm.Esmay@va.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by the response date the Department of Veterans Affairs will proceed with the intended agreement. All questions concerning this requirement must be in writing and submitted via email to Davidm.Esmay@va.gov.
