- Notice of Intent to Sole Source The 341 st Contracting Squadron, Malmstrom AFB, MT intends to negotiate with SKIDCAR System, Inc. 6440 Sky Pointe Drive, Suite 140, Las Vegas, NV 89131, in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. This procurement is for the SKIDCAR system for one HMMWV, one SKIDCAR foam tire kit, one SKIDCAR foam tire kit for interchanging systems, and training for four instructors to duplicate HMMWV response in loss of traction situations for training purposes. Sole source is based on the ability to retrofit the exact vehicles used regularly by Malmstrom AFB personnel. SKIDCAR System, Inc. currently provides this item and is the only responsible source that can immediately satisfy the Government's requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this notice. The NAICS code for this requirement is 423860. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to meet this requirement by 1630 local time on 12 Sep 2011. Additionally, any response to this notice shall show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only. No reimbursement for any costs connected with providing capability information will be provided.
