- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) SP4707-11-Q-0125 Contractor is to provide the items listed below. This is a brand name requirement. Hewlett Packard servers are the standard architecture for the Intel-based systems supported by J6C, DLA Information Operations (at Columbus). Introducing another manufacturer's servers into this already existing architecture will cause mission failure, as the integration of the dissimilar equipment will result in system failure in which the DLA NOSC would be in violation of many DoD Directives. ArcSight software must be purchased for the DLA NOSC New Cumberland since it is the alternate site. The replication of hardware and software must be exact in both DLA NOSC Columbus and New Cumberland. Failure to purchase the software and the Premium support will result in the DLA NOSC New Cumberland not being able to address the latest security threats to the DLA Enterprise Network.
