- Description
- The USDA, ARS, Western Regional Research Center, Albany, California has a requirement for a 454 bead enrichment/PCR purification workstation. This instrument must be compatible with an existing Roche 454 sequencer Robotic Enrichment Module. The 454 bead enrichment/PCR purification instrument must be able to perform PCR amplicon purification. The PCR purification must be consumable independent, that is, instrumentation should be able to use third party consumables and reagents (such as QIAquick PCR purification plates and Qiagen buffers), not proprietary consumable/reagents. The 454 bead enrichment/PCR purification instrument must be equipped with 8 channels of 1 mL pipets; must use air-displacement pipetting technology to reduce contamination and improve reliability (no replacement necessary of syringes, valves, tubing, etc.); must be able to stack input or output plates on the deck for increased capacity; must be able to stack tip boxes on deck for increased capacity; and the instrument must be expandable/upgradeable to meet changing throughput research needs. System must include start-up/commissioning, user manuals, warranties, and site training. Include any shipping/freight costs. This solicitation incorporates the following commercial FAR clauses by reference 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5. The following applicable FAR clauses are incorporated by reference: 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.225-13, 52.232-33, 52.232-36 (FAR clauses may be obtained at www.acquisition.gov).
