- Sole Source Intent: The U.S. Army Mission & Installation Contracting Command Center (MICC)-Yuma located in Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with 4G Communications, Inc., under the authority of FAR 19.1406. The action is for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to provide WAVE Radio software upgrade. The purchase of the following item is included: Quantity: 1 each, Part Description: Software (Wave), version 4.8/5.2. 4G Communications is the owner of the proprietary software suite and a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) source FAR 19.1406 -- Sole Source Awards to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB), provides agencies the authority to negotiate exclusively with an SDVOSB when there is only one known SDVOSB with the capabilities of the Government's requirement. However, any other responsible SDVOSB believing it has capable of meeting the requirement may submit technical documentation to establish the potential of meeting the Government's needs. To be considered, any such documentation shall be submitted in writing by 13 September 2011 at 2:00 PM MST. A determination not to compete the proposed contract amongst SDVOSB's based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive SDVOSB procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis. The applicable NAICS code is 541512. Interested SDVOSB's who believe they are capable of providing the required equipment should submit their technical documentation clearly marked with solicitation number W81R8T12141301 and faxed to 928-328-6849 or in writing to the Contract Specialist identified below. In order to protect propriety information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information, all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specification of the above listed item. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded NLT 15 September 2011.
