Description
RFQ JOFOC This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as set forth in FAR 6.302-1(c), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. AVIDTECHNOLOGY INC. 1101 PENNSYLVANIA AVE, NW SUITE 600 WASHINGTON, DC 20004 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 11-233-SOL-00778 and it is issued as request for quote (RFQ) Please view attachments This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. The corresponding NAICS code is 334517 and the small business size standard is 500 Employees Description the Service The Avid Interplay, ISIS system is a follow-on update of the Avid system currently in use at HHS-TV. Additionally FDA and NIH are presenting similar proposals. This system will tie into a common video media network to facilitate asset management and project sharing of media resources across the HHS OP-DIV's. This Avid system is upgrading existing out-of-date equipment for the ASPA HHS-TV Studio. This updated system will dramatically improve turn around and delivery of live and file-based content for Healthcare.gov and HHS.gov and other file-based delivery requirements for broadcast and video production. The Avid system configured as specified will directly integrate with existing HHS Television production systems enabling the myriad of connections for Serial Digital Interface (SDI digital) and analog video signals, and networking. Since this system is replacing an older Avid system, there will be minimum impact on our cabling and signal routing. Physical space is a major concern and the new equipment will fit into the existing space for mounting and reconnecting to existing cables and interfaces. The existing hardware is end-of-life and experiencing intermittent failures. Because the current Avid system cannot support the current work flow demand, we need to replace it with a system that is designed for integration to the current configuration of the control room interfaces that are exclusive to this system.
