- Amendment 1, Solicitation SB1341-11-RQ-0606- updated specs on CLIN 0001 THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. FAR PART 13, SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES, IS UTILIZED IN THIS PROCUREMENT. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a request for quotation. The solicitation document incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-53. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334513- Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables. This requirement will be competed as a small business set aside under the corresponding size standard of 500 employees. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed-price purchase order to the offeror that offers the best value to the Government using the Lowest-Priced, Technically Acceptable method. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement in the Temperature, Pressure and Flow Metrology Division for a platinum cobalt resistance thermometer suitable for calibration over the interval from 1 K to 293 K. The thermometer will serve as a laboratory standard over that range and must exhibit exceptional stability, with a repeatability at 273.16 K of <= 0.2 mK. The required construction is a hermetic capsule with a helium exchange gas and a strain-free resistance element. There are no brand name specifications for this purchase. All quotations shall be submitted electronically so that they are received at eric.bubar@nist.gov no later than September 8, 2011 at 5:00 pm EST.
