- DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Coast Guard Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron Jacksonville intends to establish an agreement for fiscal year 12 with Doctors Lake Marina for boat slip rental and trailer storage adjacent to the St. Johns River. The proposed contract action for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Doctors Lake Marina under the authority of FAR 6.302. The Doctors Lake Marina is one of two Marinas (along with Julian Creek Marina) with access to the St. Johns River, however the Doctors Lake Marina is the closest and provided the most space for our needs. The commute time would add considerable costs to the training evolutions in terms of fuel and storage. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
