- Description
- In accordance with the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, the Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source, cost plus fixed fee modification to Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-11-G-0001 Delivery Order 2002 to The Boeing Company for the development and integration of the Unique Planning Component (UPC) on the SLAM-ER missile system. The anticipated period of performance is 12 months. Boeing is the sole designer, developer, integrator, and manufacturer of the SLAM-ER missile system. They are the only company with the requisite personnel, facilities, and technical knowledge to satisfy the Government's requirement within the required time line. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.) IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, to make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a modification for the efforts mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. See Numbered Note 22.
