- This solicitation is RESTRICTED SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION ONLY. Site Visit information will be provided in the solicitation in Section 00 21 00. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See 'Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: The project involves the realignment of the existing East Gate entrance to Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. Included in the realignment will be the demolition and the existing gate house and road system. A new realigned entry road will be constructed, along with a gate house, check stations, vehicle inspection buildings, and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection measures. Construction will include asphalt pavements, curbs, fences and gates, area lighting, passive and active barriers, all necessary utilities (storm drainage, sanitary sewage, water, electrical, communications, and natural gas), landscaping, signage, passive and active AT/FP measures, and all other site work necessary for a complete and usable entry control gate facility in accordance with UFC 4-010-01 and UFC 4-022-01. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 420 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety.
