- Intent to Sole Source Contract Award This notice is for informational purposes only. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to award a one year sole source contract for an online subscription to an electronic evidence-based, peer-reviewed educational product and clinical reference database with UpToDate, Inc. for the Jesse Brown VAMC, 820 South Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60612 and which may be additionally used by other VISN 12 VAMC staff, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy. Technical Scope: The Contractor is responsible for all supplies and services required to provide an electronic evidence-based, peer-reviewed educational product that has complete clinical resource information on the following specialties minimally: adult emergency medicine, adult primary care, internal medicine, allergy and immunology, cardiovascular medicine, endocrinology, diabetes, family practice, gastroenterology, hepatology, hematology, oncology, infectious diseases, nephrology, hypertension, neurology, obstetrics, gynecology, women's health, pediatrics, pulmonary, critical care, sleep medicine, and rheumatology. The material must be retrievable from any computer system that has internet access. Clinical topics must be accompanied by relevant images and must be written at two reading levels, one for physician research and one for patient review. The tool must be an accredited provider of point-of-care CME by the ACCME. Period of Performance: October 1, 2011 - September 30, 2012 Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by September 14, 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement by September 14, 2011; these will be evaluated by the government. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation documents are available and no telephone request will be honored.
