- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Activity is currently seeking firms, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Hubzone, 8(A), or other Small Business's with the ability to provide Preventive Maintenance Services for "General Kitchen Equipment - Hobart Pulper and Hobart Dishwasher" located at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center 130 West Kingsbridge Rd, Bronx, New York 10468-3904. Preventive Maintenance Service for Hobart Kitchen Equipment: The contractor shall provide a thorough preventive maintenance and prompt repair service. Service may consists of but is not limited to technical inspections, cleaning, oiling, adjusting, calibrating, without additional cost to the government and maintaining the equipment in first class operating condition, including all intervening calls necessary between regular inspections, except services necessitated by accident, fire or abuse. EMERGENCIES: The contractor shall provide emergency repairs for all equipment on this contract. Emergency repair calls can only be made by the COTR or plumbing Forman/designee. All calls must be responded to within two (2) hours after the initial call. The contractor shall commence work with a journeyman mechanic (on-site physical response) within two (2) hours after receipt of notification and will proceed progressively to completion without undue delay. Emergency service shall be to restore equipment to normal operational condition. The firm will be responsible for providing all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies and equipment, and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective services for the equipment. Firms desiring consideration shall email directly to the Contracting Officer referencing the following in the subject field, Preventive Maintenance Services for "General Kitchen Equipment - Hobart Pulper and Hobart Dishwasher", then contain the following information within the body of the e-mail, name of firm, Socio-Economic category of firm, complete address, phone & fax number of contact. All emails from interested parties must be received by 9:00 AM, July 19, 2011. Email address is as follows, Vivian.Torres@va.gov. This is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. No formal solicitation document exists at this time.
