- The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with Television Equipment Associates, Inc., Brewster, NY, under Request for Quote (RFQ) RFQ-C005875. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Television Equipment Associates is to provide the Rapid 40 Field Telephone System to include the following items: Telephone Headset Kit: including highway connector and satchel (P/N: RA4830); End Terminator (P/N: RA4803/1); Highway Connector (P/N: RA4808/1); and Highway Spur 'T' Connector (P/N: RA4808/3). This procurement is to increase the current inventory of identical field phones for compatibility purposes. In addition the Federal Bureau of Investigation sampled several commercially available field telephone systems and has determined that the Rapid 40 best meets the operational requirements. Market Research has determined that the Federal Bureau of Investigation's requirement can only be provided by Television Equipment Associates because they are the sole US distributor of this product. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals to this office by 12:00 PM, EST, Tuesday, September 13, 2011, via E-mail to the attention of Mr. David L. Marmo, Contracting Officer, at David.Marmo@ic.fbi.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System number is 334210. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
