- The U.S. Military Academy, Directorate of Contracting, West Point, N.Y. is seeking sources for requiring the services of a company to provide access to the Global Defense Information On-Line (GDI) database. This database is an open source intelligence information system that provides comprehensive coverage of developments in defense. terrorism & weapons of mass destruction, military aerospace & electronics, and much more. GDI provides topic specific news and journal article summaries from hundreds of the world's leading defense-related print and electronic information sources. GDI provides full access to the system's ever expanding archive of over 160.000 entries with comprehensive coverage of defense and military news by scanning hundreds of international sources, including print journals and internet news publications. which are required for research and study to cadets and faculty in direct support of the Academic mission of the United States Military Academy. No substitutes will be accepted. All responsible parties that feel they can provide this service should forward their capabilities in writing to Joseph.r.Bloss@us.army.mil.
