- Master's of Social Work Affiliation Requirement This is a notice of intent by the Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC), located at 2199 Storage Street, Suite 68, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234-5068 to award a contract that establishes an affiliation leading toward a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree for selected military personnel and/or Department of Defense civilians. The affiliation shall be with the Army Medical Department Center and School (AMEDDC &S) and a fully accredited College or University (Council of Social Work Education/CSWE recognized) that will award the MSW degree based on graduate credit hours received. All students will be taught on the Army installation, Fort Sam Houston, TX by permanent AMEDDC & S Government personnel who will serve as non-tenured faculty to the host College or University. All classroom space, textbooks, office space, and instructors for the courses will be provided by the Government. The program will consist of a regular track which will consist of approximately 14 months and an advanced standing track which will consist of approximately 9 months. Field practicum placements will be conducted in the immediate and surrounding areas on or near Fort Sam Houston, TX. Government faculty will serve as field practicum liaisons, providing oversight of the MSW program. An Industry Day was conducted at the AMEDDC & S, Fort Sam Houston, TX on 30 August 2011 with Colleges and Universities who responded to special notice, W81K04-11-R-MSW that was posted on 12 July 2011 at https://www.fbo.gov to exchange information about this requirement. A transition period with the College or University will be needed no less than 120 days before 1 October 2012. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 611310 and the size standard is $7M. The solicitation document, W81K04-11-T-0043 will be issued on or about 9 November 2011 and will be available for downloading through FedBizOpps (https://www.fbo,gov/).
