Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Picatinny, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a five year firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract on a sole-source basis to DRS Test & Energy Management, LLC, Huntsville Alabama for information technology services for existing Direct Support Electronic System Test SetTest Program Sets (DSESTS TPS) modification and development of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and TPS for transition to Next Generation Automatic Test Station (NGATS). The contractor shall provide services to meet the required engineering support integral to the transition and integration of DSESTS functions and DSESTS TPSs to the NGATS. The specific engineering services are conforming representation of distinctive regular and frequent engineering requirements for the ARDEC's respective engineering services. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). Only one reasonable source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The identified source is DRS Test & Energy Management, LLC, 110 Wynn Drive NW, Huntsville, Alabama 35805. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 30 days after date of issuance of the Request for Proposal will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract base upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. The Request for Proposal (RFP) for this action will be available for download on approximately 19 September 2011. Points of contact for this action are: Mariah L.
