- The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with Golden Engineering, Inc., Centerville, IN, under Request for Quote (RFQ) RFQ-C006522. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Golden Engineering is to provide the following items: XRS-3 X-Ray Kit (P/N 4403015) and XRS-4 Kit (P/N 4404015). These will replace some of the current X-Rays in the field which all operators are already trained on and begin to phase in the new model. Market Research has determined that the Federal Bureau of Investigation's requirement can only be provided by Golden Engineering, Inc. because they are the sole manufacturer and supplier of this product. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals to this office by 12:00 PM, EST, Tuesday, September 13, 2011, via E-mail to the attention of Mr. David L. Marmo, Contracting Officer, at David.Marmo@ic.fbi.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System number is 334517. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
