- The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with Rockwell Collins Satellite Communications Systems, Inc., Duluth, GA, under Request for Quote (RFQ) RFQ-C005945. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Rockwell Collins is to provide the following items: CCT Evolution Network Modules (P/N 107572). These are being purchased in order to upgrade existing Rockwell Collins CCT-120 VSAT which are currently in use. Market Research has determined that the Federal Bureau of Investigation's requirement can only be provided by Rockwell Collins because they are the sole manufacturer and supplier of this product. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals to this office by 12:00 PM, EST, Tuesday, September 13, 2011, via E-mail to the attention of Mr. David L. Marmo, Contracting Officer, at David.Marmo@ic.fbi.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System number is 334290. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
