- The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with BBNK, LLC, Nampa, ID, under Request for Quote (RFQ) RFQ-C006281. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. BBNK, LLC is to provide the following items: Grid Aim Kit with Large Storm Case for use with the radiograph X-Ray generator and PAN disrupter. This kit is a new technology that improves the accuracy and effectiveness of disruption trajectory and minimizes the length of exposure to the hazard by the bomb technician. This technology was recently released by Sandia National Laboratory to this vendor for commercial distribution. To our knowledge there are currently no other vendors that have been given access to this technology. Market Research has determined that the Federal Bureau of Investigation's requirement can only be provided by BBNK, LLC because they are the sole manufacturer and supplier of this product. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals to this office by 12:00 PM, EST, Tuesday, September 13, 2011, via E-mail to the attention of Mr. David L. Marmo, Contracting Officer, at David.Marmo@ic.fbi.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System number is 334517. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
