- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm, fixed price supply type contract to be negotiated on a full and open basis for fiber optic cabling hardware (cable managers, termination kits, Panduit fittings, CAT 5e cable, CAT 3 Cable, Raceway, Junction Box, Plenum Fiber Optic Cable, Panduit faceplates, Panduit Inserts, Panduit, mini-com Modular Panel, Ground Lugs, J-Hooks, Fiber Housings, Cable Hooks, Ground Wire, Bus bars, Shrink Tubing, etc.) in support of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Far East, Base Communications Office Yokosuka, Japan 238-0001. The solicitation is issued as brand name mandatory for the majority of the line items. The solicitation is issued as FOB Origin with direct shipping to Japan. If you cannot quote direct shipment using a freight forwarder, please do not respond to this solicitation. Delivery is required to be within approximately 45 days or less after contract award with inspection and acceptance FOB Origin and shipping direct to Base Communication Officer, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Far East, Yokosuka, Japan 238-0001. This acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation. The solicitation will be issued on or about 01 September 2011 with a closing date of 12 September 2011. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price supply type contract. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under Business Opportunities under solicitation number N00406-11-T-0995. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror ™s inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site. Telephone requests will not be honored. Electronic submission of proposals via NECO is NOT available for this procurement.
