- This is a Notice of Proposed Contract Action Synopsis (intent to sole source). This proposed contract action is published to notify potential sources that the Department of Veterans Affairs, Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS), intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-5, Other than Full & Open Competition Authorized or Required by Statute, to Hi-Def Contracting, Inc., a CVE-certified SDVOSB, located at 299 Oak St., Indiana, PA 15701-2039. The award is to provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment, to upgrade 11 conference/group rooms into integrated multimedia rooms that have the function of video conferencing, audio conferencing and local presentations. Contractor shall provide a complete 'turnkey' design/installation. The applicable NAICS Code is 541490 and applicable size standard is $7.0 million. This is not a request for competitive quotes, but responses received on or before COB September 5, 2011, will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government. Respondents will not be notified of the Government's determination and the Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this notice of proposed contract action.
