- Antenna Site Lease located at Mineola, NY The Bureau of the Public Debt, on behalf of Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Univision Communications, 605 3d Ave 12th Fl, New York, NY, renewal of tower space lease for two-way signal (repeater) equipment installed on the tower. The contract will be issued as a base year contract, firm fixed price, with two option periods, effective October 1, 2011. Government owned equipment installed on this tower location allows clear communication from one tower to another, virtually eliminating shadowing, fading, and dead spots. The relocation of the equipment would cause a lapse in radio coverage and the price to re-compete and relocate the equipment is not cost effective. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
