- Sole Source Justification Letter The United States Air Force (Luke AFB) intends to award a sole-source contract to iRobot Corporation for the following item in support of the 56 Civil Engineering Squadron/Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight, Luke AFB, AZ: Qty 1, 310 SUGV Packable Robot, Part# 4218000-00001. System includes Chassis with Flippers, Manipulator Arm Payload, Basic Wearable Controller (OCU), Game-style Hand Controller, Heads-up Display Glasses, Three BB-2557/U Batteries, Shipping Case, User Documentation, and a Limited One Year Warranty. The 310 SUGV Packable Robot was selected on the recommendations of the Chairman of the Military Technical Acceptance Board, based on the technical capabilities and battlefield testing of the system. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedure and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement is based on only one source able to provide this product. Responses to this notice are solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
