- The 802d Contracting Squadron at Lackland Air Force Base intends to award a sole source contract to ADS, Inc., Virginia Beach VA for the acquisition of High Threat Training Plates Carriers (front & back torso, non-ballistics w/embroidered placard, ABU); High Threat Training Carriers R/L Cummerbund (Pals Webing and non-ballistic); 8x11 Zorbium ESAPI non ballistic training plates (2 per vest). The statutory authority for use of ‘other than full and open competition' for this transaction is 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no formal solicitation package is available. However, prospective contractors who believe they can successfully propose must provide specific detailed technical documentation to support such claim of abilities within 3 days from date of publication of this synopsis. No award will be made on the basis of any proposal or other information received in response to this notice, and this is a notification of intent to acquire supplies and not a request for proposals. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in the preparation of responses to this announcement. This is the only notice that will be issued for these supplies.
