- The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to Spectromat Massenspektrometer GMBH, located in Bremen, Germany for maintenance and service of a ThermoElectron Corp mass spectrometer to be performed in Reston, Virginia for sixteen months from date of award. There are no option periods. Spectromat Massenspektrometer GMBH it is a partner company with ThermoElectron with exclusive rights to handle software, peripherals, replacement part manufacturing, repairs and labors (in an aftermarket capacity only). In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The anticipated award date of the contract is 09/08/2011. The anticipated contract will be firm fixed-price.
