Description
PRESOLICITATION NOTICE INTRUDER ALARM MONITORING SERVICES Scope of Work This is a pre-solicitation notice only. The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a contractor who shall provide the Department of Veterans Affairs New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) with intruder alarm system monitoring services at Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Raton, Gallup, and Santa Fe New Mexico. Contractor will provide the requested services for all locations identified in the Statement of Work. Alarm system monitoring shall be provided either using existing VA equipment that is already installed in the CBOC's or leased equipment shall be provided to the VA and installed by the contractor. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, tools, transportation, supervision, training and all other items and equipment necessary to provide 24/7 monitoring of the system. All necessary servicing, maintenance, and testing shall be included in the proposed price. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be released on Friday, September 2, 2011. Place(s) of Performance Alarm system monitoring is required for the following CBOC locations: "Gallup CBOC, 320 State Hwy 564, Gallup, NM 87301 "Raton CBOC, 1275 South 2nd St, Raton, NM 87740 "Santa Fe CBOC, 2213 Brothers Rd Ste 600, Santa Fe, NM 87505 General Requirements Each intruder alarm system includes motion detection, glass break and door contact sensors. These devices provide alternative methods to detect actual or attempted intrusion into protected areas through the use of alarm components, monitoring, and reporting systems. The system shall provide emergency assistance and control functions at each CBOC location via a central monitoring system. The intruder alarm system will provide ease of operation, servicing, maintenance, and testing. The Government reserves the right to expand this system should it become necessary. Any expansion shall be within the scope of this agreement. If contractor proposes to lease a different system to VA to meet this requirement, all associated costs shall be provided with their proposal; however, it is the preference of the Government that contractor utilize existing VA owned equipment.
