- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to Allylix, Inc., 6020 Cornerstone Court West, San Diego, CA 92121, for a quantity of two (2) Nootkatone moisturizer and two (2) Nootkatone incecticidal. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy the Agency's requirements because the contractor uses a novel approach to produce high quality amounts of nootkatone at uniquely high rates of production, a high level of purity is required for it to be considered 'food grade'. No solicitation is being issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which, if received by the response date, shall be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government.
