The 2011 MacDill SDVOSB/VOSB and SB Conference & Expo is a two-day conference being held December 7-8, 2011 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL. The conference is hosted by the 6th Air Mobility Wing at MacDill AFB in partnership with United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), University of South Florida (USF), Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), and The Tampa-St. Petersburg (Pelican) Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). The goal of the conference is to provide the Small Business community with the tools and opportunities to take their businesses to the next level through education and interaction with their peers. Large Businesses have the opportunity to meet new qualified vendors that will facilitate Small Business contracting initiatives. The annual trade show will feature approximately over 180+ business and government exhibitors from the local community and across the country. Exhibitors will include vendors from a variety of technical product and service areas. Government purchasing agents and technical personnel will attend to learn what local and national vendors have to offer. Representatives from the 6th Air Mobility Wing at MacDill AFB, United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), University of South Florida (USF), Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), and The Tampa-St. Petersburg (Pelican) Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), prime contractors, and other federal government agencies will be available to answer questions about doing business with their respective organizations. Attendees will participate in workshops and panel discussions led by program and small business procurement officials. They will also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with agency contracting, acquisition and small business personnel during "MATCHMAKING" event on 8 December 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Topics will include prime and subcontracting opportunities, business development resources, acquisition needs, and more. Owners and representatives of all small businesses, regardless of location or product/service line, have much to gain from this event as it is not often that key Government and private sector personnel across the very broad spectrum of federal agencies that are together in one place for direct networking. A strong roster of speakers, panelists, and exhibitors will ensure that every small business attendee is likely to find the event rewarding and worthwhile.
