- Description
- The VA Medical Center, Beckley, WV is seeking the services of a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business for work which consists of replacing or correcting automatic transfer switches, survey of all equipment feed from these switches as follows: 1. Correct rotation of ATS-CR-3 while on emergency generator power; 2. Correct rotation of ATS-EQU1 while on emergency generator power; 3. Replace transfer switches, ATS-1, ATS-2, ATS-EQ1, ATS-EMBK; 4. Replace existing 600 amp breaker with 800 on normal power feeding ATS-EQ1; 5. Replace existing 600 amp breaker with 800 on normal power feeding ATS-EMBK; 6. Replace conduit and feeds from normal power feeding ATS-EQ1, ATS-EMBK; 7. Survey all 3 phase equipment feed off ATS-CR-3 one line drawings is available for locations; 8. Survey all 3 phase equipment feed off ATS-EQU-1 one line drawings is available for locations; 9. Replace any damaged motors, controllers or any other equipment affected by the reverse rotation of ATS-CR-3 and ATS-EQU-1. Part of this work will be on nights or weekends. Work will be in an occupied healthcare facility in operation 24 hours a day and care must be provided to keep work areas clean and contained. The contractor will be responsible for storage of materials and disposal of all unused materials. The contractor will ensure that all sub-contractors meet and abide by all government regulations and requirements to include 10 hours OSHA training. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238210 with a small business size standard of $14M. The estimated dollar amount of this procurement is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Solicitation will be posted on/about 15 Sep 2011. The date for bid opening will be on/about 14 Oct 2011. A pre-proposal/walk-through will be held on/about 28 Sep 2011. These dates are estimates.
