- The work for this project consists of the construction of rock crossings at 7 (seven) sites and the construction of two water bars located across the access road at the entrance to the site to prevent erosion. Major items of work include an approximated: 290 tons of rockfill for crossings; 1,005 ln. ft. of geogrid and 160 sq. yds of geotextile for coverage of the bottom and side slopes of the crossings; 2 acres of seeding for permanent cover; and 2 acres of clearing and grubbing of an area to connect the ingress/egress of the easement to the access road located within the easement boundary. The estimated price is within the range of $30,000 to $150,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about September 14, 2011. Interested parties are invited to attend a pre-bid meeting and site showing on Monday, September 19, 2011, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Meet at Harry's Country Store at Mount Vernon Crossroads on Highway 261. Directions for individuals coming from Kingstree, South Carolina are as follows: Travel West on Highway 52 approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto Highway 261 and travel north approximately 5 miles. Harry's country store will be located on the right at the intersection of Mount Vernon Road. Directions for individuals coming from Manning, South Carolina are as follows: Travel East on Highway 521 for approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto Highway 261 and travel northeast for approximately 10 miles. Harry's country store will be located on the left at the intersection of Mount Vernon Road.
