Description
Brand Name Justification This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, FA4621-11-T-0037, is being issued as a Request for Quotation, which incorporates provisions and clauses for commercial items in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. This acquisition is 100% small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code for this acquisition is 339920 with a size standard of 500 Employees. McConnell AFB, KS plans to acquire the following items. 0001 - Brunswick Framework Ball Return Hood and Racks Assembly 6 ea 0002 - Brunswick Power Ball Lift 6 ea 0003 - Lane Cable for Power Ball Lift 6 ea 0004 - Brunswick Frameworx Lower Rack 6 ea 0005 - Brunswick Hand Dryer Fan 6 ea 0006 - Hood and Rack Spare Parts Kit 1 ea 0007 - Frameworx Masking Unit Graphics Standard Design Two Sided(Lower) 6 ea 0008 - Frameworx Masking Unit Graphics Standard Design Two Sided(Upper) 6 ea These items are a brand name requirement. -See attached brand name justification *This requirement is currently unfunded and subject to availability of funds* The following provisions in their latest editions apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-l, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial. AFFARS 5352.201-9101, Ombudsman (10 Aug 2005); (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. (d) The ombudsman has no authority to render a decision that binds the agency.
