- The contractor shall perform Software Development, Integration and Verification and Validation activities for an update to the Weapons System Simulator (WSS) softare in conjunciton with the Trident II Mk 98 Mod 6 Fire Control System (FCS) 647 Software delivery. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT II D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System, the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
