Contractor shall provide to the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota, on an as needed basis all requirements for specialty gases used in the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service. Gases will be used to establish environmental conditions for specimens as well as with various pieces of laboratory equipment. Federal Acquisition Regulations under FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 will be followed as well as 52.219.6. The FSC Code is 6830 - Compressed and Liquefied Gases. Decision factors for evaluation are: technical requirements, past performance, and price reasonableness. Bid documents will be available on the FBO Website on August 29, 2011 under solicitation number VA-263-11-RP-0741 Companies with the ability to provide these items are invited to submit their proposals to Karen A. The period of performance for this contract will be from on or about October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 base year with four (4) options to renew.
