- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs proposes to contract for security guard services through the Minneapolis VA Health Care system (MVAHCS). The contractor shall provide a Security Guard II for security guard services at the Twin Ports Outpatient Clinic in Superior, Wisconsin. The base year performance period will be commencing on or about November 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 with four (4) one-year option periods to be exercised at the Government ™s sole discretion ”Option 1: October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013; Option 2: October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014; Option 3: October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015; and Option 4: October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2016. This solicitation no. VA-263-11-RP-0720 is an RFP set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. All qualified offerors are invited to provide a proposal. Offers, including options, shall be evaluated for technical competency, satisfactory past performance, and fair and reasonable pricing, as outlined in the Evaluation Factors in the solicitation. The Government anticipates award of a commercial item contract to the offeror whose offer provides the best value to the Government. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about August 30, 2011 and will be issued via Fed Biz Opps Electronic Posting System at https://www.fbo.gov. Offerors are responsible for checking the web site regularly to obtain amendments. Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing. Questions may be sent by e-mail to: arlene.jorgensenhillestad@va.gov. No telephonic inquiries will be accepted. Proposals must be signed and submitted in writing by September 16, 2011 at 3:00 p.m., CST; be in accordance with the solicitation instructions outlined in the solicitation; and be timely. No web-based proposals or faxes will be accepted. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 56162 with the size standard of $18.5 million.
