Description
Health Care Acquisition Activity-North intends to issue a contract with SonoSite, Inc., Bothell, WA for SonoSite MicroMaxx Ultra 3.4.5 High Resolution Ultrasound with SiteLink Image Manager and related accessories to be utilized in the Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) within the Ohio Valley District Veterinary Command, Ft. Knox KY. The purchase will be made under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). SonoSite MicroMaxx 3.4.5 Ultrasound System is the model currently chosen by US Army Veterinary Command (VETCOM) and it is used at veterinary clinics across the military. It conforms to internationally recognized standards for this class of equipment. The equipment is listed within VETCOM's Veterinary Medical Standardization Board list of standardized veterinary equipment for use within VTF's. This requirement will be procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13, using simplified acquisition procedures. NAICS code is 334510, size standard of 750 employees. Offerors certain they can meet the requirement may submit in writing an affirmative response and statement of technical capabilities, which will be reviewed. All written responses must include a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Affirmative written response must be received no later than 2PM Eastern Standard Time on 2 September 2011.
