Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service,(ARS), intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Agilent Technologies, Inc, located in Wilmington, DE, pursuant to 41.U.S.C.253 (c)(1) - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for the following items: Service layout to provide early access to pre-commercial kitted reagent for 100 units of Aglient's Oligonucleotide Library for sequence target enrichments based on SureSelectXT barcoded Bovine Exome materials/kit. The Bovine Functional Genomics Lab requires specific reagents for Oligo based capture of the bovine exome (gene containing region) from 100 different bovine genomic DNA samples. The kit must contain reagents and protocols for the isolation of gDNA library generation and target enrichment for the Illumina sequencer workflows. The oligo-based enrichment system must utilize 120 mer RNA-based capture probes or "baits" in a solution phrase for capture hybridization, and be based upon the extended USDA, ARS gene annotation of 68 Mb.
