- The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Northern Plains Area, Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center (GFHNRC), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis for: Quantity of 40 - Cage w/ 2 Openings- MOUSE- Custom modified cage- Includes cage top and standard water bottle; Quantity of 40 - Assembly-LH Cage Mount Unplugged- MOUSE- FOOD-Incl. Stainless Steel cage mount, hopper, blocker, Unplugged adapter, coupling; Quantity of 40 - Stainless Steel Blocker- MOUSE; and all applicable Freight and Delivery to Jobsite of listed items with Research Diets, Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. These items are being purchased to increase our current inventory of cages to allow us to increase our research study sizes. All new hardware must have exact specifications to existing hardware. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive quotations or proposals. No solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide this equipment/system are encouraged to identify themselves and provide a substantive statement with descriptive literature and any other supporting information to the Contracting Officer within 15 days of publication of this notice. All information received within 15 days of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government to determine if the alternative equipment/system meets the Government's requirements and is capable of performing the intended task(s).
